Panama City Chiropractic’s Dr. Jon Sherman helps the Gulf World veterinarian in the rehabilitation of a rough-toothed dolphin named Astro.

Panama City Beach, Fl (PRWEB) April 23, 2013
Panama City Chiropractic’s Dr. Jon Sherman was recently featured on in an article highlighting his work with Gulf World’s veterinarian to assist in the rehabilitation of a rough-toothed dolphin named Astro. Astro was stranded in Texas and was sent to Gulf World to heal and live.
Because of the similarities between humans and marine mammals, veterinarians are beginning to use the techniques for a human’s rehabilitation to help animals. Because doctors concluded that Astro could not be released into the wild again, Gulf World now tries to make him as healthy and comfortable as they can. Dr. Sherman volunteered his time to help with that task.
Dr. Sherman uses chiropractor bayview stretching, trigger point therapies, and low level laser therapies to help with Astro’s scoliosis. So far the treatments have helped Astro with mobility and energy levels. The results of these treatments will also help doctors better understand how new developments in technique will be beneficial for animals, as well as humans.
