Anyone who brings a toy to the doctors office at 180 Washington Ave. will receive a complimentary chiropractic treatment. (Virginia Kropf/Daily News) Posted: Monday, December 2, 2013 12:31 am | Updated: 12:35 am, Mon Dec 2, 2013. Batavia chiropractor keeps Don Carroll toy drive going By Virginia Kropf email@example.com The Daily News Online | 0comments BATAVIA Many underprivileged children in the Batavia area will find a toy under their Christmas tree this year, thanks to the efforts of local chiropractor Dr. Thomas Mazurkiewicz. Mazurkiewicz was involved in the Big Buddy Program for 25 years, until it ended, he said, and working with the Don Carroll Toy Drive is a way to continue to help children. Before Don Carroll died a few months ago, he asked Mazurkiewicz to promise he would carry on the toy drive named in his honor. I knew Don well and I promised him I would, Mazurkiewicz said. The chiropractor is working with Brian and Beth Kent, who head the Toys for Kids Committee to collect toys for underprivileged children. The drive began a month ago and will end on Wednesday, but that still leaves plenty of time for people to donate a toy. Anyone who brings a toy for a boy or girl into his office will receive a free complimentary treatment, Mazurkiewicz said.
