At his institution, in the holding area on the day of surgery patients receive 100 mg pregabalin, 400 mg celecoxib, 1,000 mg acetaminophen intravenously and a scopolamine patch. He said orthopedic surgeons want to address postoperative pain from a variety of different channels because in doing so they will make patients happy. There is very good evidence that it is not only cost effective but your patient satisfaction scores go up dramatically. As we are evaluated more by the soft side of the business that we provide how our patients feel about us and how patients feel about their experience this will become a more important part of our clinical practice. I recommend you pay attention to it, Romeo said. by Kristine Houck, MA, ELS Reference: Romeo AA. My approach to minimizing pain in ambulatory shoulder surgery.
